Was turned onto this book over 9 years ago and have purchased many copies for friends that are having difficult times with their own teenagers. Friends call after reading it and tell me how much it has helped.This book really makes you think about your actions before you react. It is a MUST read.Also, can help in your day to day life.

I read Parenting With Love and Logic and Teaching With Love and Logic. We look forward to reviewing the book as she matures and goes through her teenage years. We are so much more relaxed and calm.
Parents of teenagers had told us of "the change" teenagers undergo and how the parents struggled in their relationships with their teens. However, we breathe and relax and think of how to handle situations in line with Parenting Teens. THEN, our daughter turned 13.
I'd like to say we don't get angry anymore, but we do. We thought, "Not our child and us. We have an amazingly close relationship." When our daughter turned 13, we could not get our hands on this book soon enough and WOW, what an tremendous difference in how my husband and I handle situations with her.

This book has many powerful insights into the parents role and techniques for dealing with teens. It sets out the role of the parent and the ways of dealing with tough issues that work and teach the teen how to deal with the hard problems and decisions in life. A must read for parents wanting to provide their kids with the tools to succeed in life. While the concepts discussed are simple, the implementation takes courage and hard work.
If you have a teenager, or better yet, before your child becomes a teenager, get this book. You won't regret it. It gives you strategies for dealing with your teenager while maintaining your self respect and preserving your respect for the teen.
